Due to the aging population in North America, and here in Ontario to be specific, and the commitment from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to provide long term care beds in Ontario, there is an increasing demand for trained administrators and managers. This program targets the skills and knowledge necessary for managers and administrators working in this sector, and provides students with an understanding of the long-term care industry.
This program is ideal for those candidates with an academic background or managerial experience in a related health or business discipline. The competency-based curriculum will prepare you for a challenging, dynamic management career in a recognized sector.

The Long-Term Care Administrator course will also prepare students for roles in administering or managing long-term care facilities. This self-directed course is designed to meet the minimum 100 hours of instruction for programs in long-term care administration or management as set out in the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007 (Section 212 & 4(d)).
