Canadian Red Cross CPR Level HCP Course

CPR Level HCP includes all of the same material as CPR Level C, plus additional information for Health Care Providers. The course is mainly taken by nurses, paramedics, physicians, and others that work in a hospital setting. The main additions to this course are the use of a Bag-Valve Mask (BVM), two-rescuer CPR, and the pulse check.

Who should attend

- Any employee can attend this course. No prerequisite or pre-course assignment is required.
- Any person who wants more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home.

Course content

Level HCP

> Level A and C content
> Jaw thrust
> Pulse check
> Rescue breathing—adult, child, and baby
> BVM—adult, child, and baby
> Two-rescuer CPR—adult, child, baby

Includes any other content required by specific legislation

Completion 

100% attendance, skills demonstration, and 75% min. passing grade on written exam

Level C : 4 hours;  Level HCP: 5 hours
