The Following are General Guidelines for Admission Requirements for Diploma/Vocational Programs Only

Admission requirements are requirements or qualifications that students must meet in order for them to demonstrate the potential to successfully complete a program at C.C.E.C. (e.g., high school diploma, proficiency in English). 

Each C.C.E.C. program/course is different and has its own subjective criteria based on the nature of the course. Students are encouraged to carefully read course admission criteria-related details before applying. Some programs may require specific regulatory admission requirements as set by the governing body. In that case, that policy will supersede any criteria as set by C.C.E.C. admission committee. The applicant is advised to read program details from the respective registration page and apply.

In general at C.C.E.C.:

Students enrolled in a C.C.E.C. program are required to meet or exceed the admission requirements set out as per bellow before they begin a program.

Applicant must have the following minimum credentials/required documents for enrollment consideration. 


  1. Copy of Government Issued ID 
  2. Copy of Proof of Name Change**, if applicable (e.g. Name Change Affidavit)
  3. Copy of Secondary School Certificate or another degree/diploma which is equaling to Canadian Secondary School Certificate, 
  4. If you are not a Canadian Citizen or PR, please provide proof of your status in Canada


**A proof of name change is required if the name on your ID does not match the name on your educational credential(s). Note that marriage certificates are NOT proof of a legal name change.


Past Learning Credits

International Credentials: C.C.E.C. considers the same academic preparation as is required for college or university entrance in that country:


  • Successful graduation from an academic secondary school program or equivalent, or
  • Students are 18 years of age or older and pass a qualifying test that has been approved by the Superintendent, or
  • Meet other academic qualifications or minimum age requirements established as a condition of the Superintendent’s approval of the program, and
  • Have met all additional admission requirements established by C.C.E.C. for the program. Such as the English language Assessment.
  • Pass an aptitude evaluation if required.


Each C.C.E.C. program/course is different and has its own subjective admission/registration requirement. Students are encouraged to read carefully course admission criteria-related details before applying.

C.C.E.C. may admit students who do not meet the admission requirements of a program on a provisional basis (e.g., Register or sign a contract for the delivery of a program). However, students are entitled to a full refund of fees paid for a program, minus 20% of the total fees for the program or $500, whichever is less, if they do not meet the program’s admission requirements when the program begins)


Minimum* admission requirements for 
Vocational or Diploma Programs

For out of Ontario and US-based education applicants:

High school diploma with five Grade 12 academic subjects. If applicable, the applicant must also meet program-specific requirements, since some programs have higher averages or have supplementary procedures for admission.


Applicant must have the following minimum credentials/required documents for enrollment consideration. 

  1. Copy of Government Issued ID 
  2. Copy of Secondary School Certificate or other degrees/diploma which is equaling to Canadian Secondary School Certificate, 
  3. If you are not a Canadian Citizen or PR, please provide proof of your status in Canada



C.C.E.C.’s Certification Programs, also known as non-vocational programs:

To achieve the best results from C.C.E.C.'s Certification Course Program, students are required to meet, provide and understand the following:


  • must have and provide copy/information of a valid license/authority to practice in given occupation from respective jurisdiction
  • read and be familiar with the C.C.E.C. /course outline, syllabus and course materials
  • continue with individual reading,  preparation, and study on their own as per C.C.E.C. /course outline, syllabus and course materials
  • be fluent in English
  • follow C.C.E.C.’s exam rules, standards, and guidelines from time to time
  • review C.C.E.C.’s assessment/ exam schedule and register for C.C.E.C. program online in a timely manner
