Bridge Training Programs (BTP)

Bridge training programs are designed to help internationally trained individuals in regulated occupations move into their profession according to the Canadian standards.

Can-College's bridge training programs vary widely, but generally assess your skills, compare them to Canadian licensing and employer expectations, and provide the required guidance and training necessary to achieve required goals without studying all over again.

To be eligible for the bridge training program, you must:
  • be at least 18 years old or older

  • have international post-secondary education

  • have international work experience in your occupation

  • have English language proficiency

In addition, you must be one of the following:

  • Be physically in Canada with a legal permanent or temporary status (Such as Visitor, Foreign national having valid study or work visa-permit).

  • If you are outside Canada, you can apply for a short study visa, no PAL required.

For international applicants:

  • This program does not require a Student Visa or Permit due to its service type and need.

  • Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL) is not required to study in this program.

*The admission requirements and admission process for BTP programs differs from vocational diploma programs. Visit the program pages for each BTP program for specific details and requirements.

"These programs do not require approval under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005”.
